Bike It Maui

Biking down Haleakala Volcano is one of the most amazing adventures you’ll ever experience.
Cruiser Phil’s features custom built brakes with wide comfortable seats and heavy duty brakes.
From craters, to cows, to nenes and more, you’ll see a part of Maui that’s truly breathtaking!

Riding a bicycle down Haleakala is one of the most thrilling experiences on Maui. I love it because you notice so much more than if you were riding in a car or tour van: Silversword, cows and horses grazing sublimely in lush green pastures, amazing views of the West Maui Mountains. And Haleakala is the place to be at sunrise, bar none.

Phil Feliciano has been a fixture on the Maui cycling scene since 1982. He and his wife Cyn operate Cruiser Phil’s Volcano Riders. Phil has taken over 44,545 visitors down the Volcano! For more info on biking down Haleakala, check out their website by clicking one of the buttons below:

Unique sites you will find in upcountry Maui, is a cowboy town called Makawao. Makawao – Hawaiian for “Where the forest begins” is the center and heart of the area generally known as upcountry Maui. Nestled among the hills along the road to Haleakala National Park, this is where the pineapple fields cease and tall Eucalyptus and Jacaranda trees shade Maui’s green pastures; where the first paniolo’s (cowboys) set up home in the early 20′s when cattle was first introduced to the island.
During your ride, you will see unbelievable views of the Islands of Hawaii, Molokini, Kahoolawe, Lanai, and the West Maui Mountains, with photo stops along the way. You will view the pineapple and sugar cane fields that once dominated Hawaii’s industries, see the various protea flowers, orchids, mango, papaya, avocado, macadamia nut, guava, lychee, coconut, wild coffee trees, and many other exotic plants and flowers.
